Parking Lot Paving in Lebanon, TN

Small commercial lots, graded and paved with hot mix

Paveway Paving Pros does parking lot paving for small commercial properties around Lebanon, Tennessee. Maybe your lot is gravel that ruts in the rain and turns to dust in summer. Maybe it is old asphalt, broken up past the point where patches hold. Either way, the fix starts below the surface.

We build new lots and replace worn-out ones, with the grading and the stone base included. We run our own dump trucks, pavers, rollers and skid steers. Parking lots are one part of our work as an asphalt paving contractor in Lebanon and across Middle Tennessee.

What We Handle

  • New asphalt parking lots for churches, shops, offices and small stores
  • Replacement of worn-out lots, rebuilt from the base up
  • Grading that sets the slope so rainwater runs off the lot
  • Crushed stone base packed with a roller before any paving
  • Hot mix asphalt laid with our own pavers and rollers
  • Lots at farm buildings and rental properties
  • Line striping for stalls and markings once the paving is done
  • Free estimate with the price in writing

Commercial paving for small lots around Lebanon

Our commercial paving work stays with small lots. We pave lots for churches, small shops and offices, small stores, farm buildings and rental properties, plus storage lots.

Tell us what drives on the lot when you call. Delivery trucks and farm trailers put far more weight on pavement than cars do. A lot beside a barn or shop also needs room for a trailer to turn. Those details matter for the layout and the base, so they come up at the estimate.

Lebanon sits at the center of our service area, which reaches about 60 miles across Middle Tennessee. That covers Mount Juliet to the west, Gallatin up TN-109, Murfreesboro down US-231 and Cookeville out on I-40. Anywhere in that area, a church lot or a shop lot is worth a call.

How we build an asphalt parking lot

Every asphalt parking lot we build starts with layout. String lines and spray paint mark clean edges, and the grass and vegetation come out. Then we grade the ground and pack the crushed stone base with a roller.

Drainage gets settled in the grading, before the stone goes down. We shape each lot so rainwater runs off instead of standing on it. That matters here, since Lebanon's zoning code cites the city's history with flooding in its parking rules. If water stands on your lot after a hard rain, show us where.

Hot mix asphalt goes on last, laid with our own pavers and pressed smooth with our rollers. We normally seal the lots we pave, because sealcoating fills the pores in the asphalt and keeps water out.

When does a parking lot need replacement instead of repair?

Potholes and broken spots on an otherwise sound lot are asphalt repair work. A worn surface over a solid base may only need asphalt resurfacing.

Replacement fits when the base under the asphalt has given out. Web-like cracking that spreads across the lot can mean the base has lost its support. Poor drainage is a common cause. A replacement rebuilds the lot from the base up, then lays new hot mix on top.

We look at the lot during the free estimate and tell you which fix it needs. The price comes in writing, so you can plan for it.

2

We Look at the Job

We look at the job and check the ground under it. We also see where the rain runs off.

3

Your Free Estimate

The free estimate comes to you in writing. Once you say yes, we set a day for the work.

4

Prep Work First

New paving starts with string lines and grading. Then a roller packs the stone base. On older asphalt, we repair the broken spots first.

5

Paving and the First Seal

Hot mix goes down from the top of the drive out to the road, and the rollers press it smooth. Once new asphalt cures, we normally seal it.

FAQ

Parking Lots Questions, Answered

Common questions about parking lots around Lebanon and the rest of Middle Tennessee. If yours is not here, call or text and ask.

Call (615) 894-5175

What size parking lots do you pave?
We stick with small commercial lots, the kind a church or a small business has. We do not get out onto the interstate or do highway work. Big-box store lots are another scale, and a lot that size is a job for a large commercial paving company.
How much does parking lot paving cost?
The price depends on the size of the lot and the ground under it. Grading, the stone base, drainage work and the tons of hot mix all move the number. Replacing an old lot also means taking the worn asphalt out first. We measure the lot and give you a free estimate, with the price in writing.
Does a new parking lot need a permit?
It depends on the town and the size of the job. In Lebanon, grading an acre or more takes a land disturbance permit from the city's Engineering Department. Other towns and counties set their own rules, and we point you to the right office. State law also calls for an 811 ticket at least three working days before grading starts.
Can you pave over our gravel lot?
Yes. A gravel lot gets graded for drainage first, and the stone base gets set right and packed with a roller. Then hot mix asphalt goes on top and gets rolled smooth.
How long will a new parking lot last?
That depends on what sits under the asphalt and what drives on top of it. A firm stone base and good grading give the asphalt a sound footing. Regular sealing then helps keep water out of the surface.
Do you stripe the lot after it is paved?
Yes. Once the asphalt is down, parking lot striping lays out the stalls and markings, including accessible spaces. We handle the striping as part of the parking lot job. Faded lines on an older lot can be striped again too.

Why Choose Paveway

Asphalt Paving and Sealcoating Around Lebanon

Graded for Lebanon Ground

Federal soil maps show clay over limestone under much of Lebanon, and water moves slowly through that clay. We grade for drainage and pack a crushed stone base before any hot mix goes down.

Sealing That Fills the Pores

Asphalt has pores, and water gets into the pavement through them. We brush or squeegee the sealer into the surface so it fills those pores.

We Look Before We Price

We look at the job before we put a price on it. Then you get a free estimate in writing.
